In September I received my brand new Prusa MK3S kit. I won’t explain the assembly process, it’s really well documented on the Prusa website. Just for the note, it took me around 2 days to build it. I’ve decided to purchase this 3D printer to be able to print at home some jigs or small tools for my workshop. I know that FDM doesn’t create the smoothest surface. But for workshop pieces, I don’t care about the aesthetic of the printed pieces, as long as it is sturdy and the dimensions are OK....

Lately I’ve found a place where I really like to go: “Le Dôme” in Caen (France). It is a collaborative space for innovation, aimed to professionals and individuals. Besides the different events occurring in this place, there is a fablab at the core of the building. I passed all the trainings to be able to use the different machines: from the embroidery machine to the big CNC router. Among these, the Trotec laser cutter stands out by its ease of use and production speed....

I like bikes and I like to restore things, so I’ve learned how to restore a vintage race bike. When I was a child in the 90s, I had a small blue Peugeot bike with colorful stripes. So when I found a bike with a similar design on LeBonCoin1 I thought I could try to restore it. Moreover, the bike has medium to high-end components because it was aimed to be used by amateurs....

For the past month, I did one job: preparing the main room of our new house before moving in. We wanted to remove a wall and install new kitchen cabinets. But this decision implied a lot of work: remove the previous kitchen, break a wall, move some electric plugs and switches, replace the flooring, install the new kitchen, redo the ceiling and finally repaint all the room. All these steps are not done yet, but we were all clear to move in during November....

This year for my wedding, I decided to create the “Machine à Questions”, or the quiz Box. My wife and I wanted to make a fun activity for our guests. Something surprising and leaving them with a good memory they will remember. The core idea was to create a quiz about our couple but without using high-tech like an Ipad. We find it too standard, and that is just not who we are....
